A cataract is a clouding of the normally clear lens of your eye. For people who have cataracts, seeing through cloudy lenses is a bit like looking through a frosty or fogged-up window. Clouded vision caused by cataracts can make it more difficult to read, drive a car (especially at night) or see the expression on a friend’s face.
Fundación Corazones de Vida together with an ophthalmologist from Vision Care managed to perform cataract surgeries at no cost to more than 100 people, including children who had cataracts inherited through phacoemulsification, valued at $ 1,500 per eye in our country.
The Corazones de Vida Foundation offers quality vision services at low cost in its 4 branches throughout the country. In the world, 5 out of 10 people suffer from some type of visual disease that can cause partial or total loss of vision, if it is not treated in time.
